Latest Exciting News on Club Members.
On the latest publication of the league tables, it shows a very exciting end to the season for our members with only two events to go. Look at the tables you 'superkids', you are all doing fantastic. There are 271 triathletes competing in the league with an average of 27 in each league table (49 competitors in the boys Tristar 2) and just look at your individual places -phenomenal. In Podium positions at present are: Tristar Start: - 2nd. Ciara Nicholson. Tristar 1: - 1st.Elliot Swallow. Tristar 3: - 2nd.Oliver Swallow What a fantastic season these three are having. Ciara ('the pocket rocket') only a few points behind top spot - now we can see why she was so disappointed at one event with the 'runners up' place! Elliot ('the whirlwind') has blown everybody away this season and showing why he is over 2,000 points in the lead with the maximum of 50,000. Oliver ('Mr.Consistency) right up behind the leader. Congratulations are due to Oliver in having been selected to the Eastern Region Team for the third consecutive year. Which means he will be taking part once again in the British Inter-Regional Championships on the 19th September in Wales, where he will be racing against the top 22 most promising Tristar 3 triathletes in Great Britain. This year it will be more exciting than other years as the young triathletes will racing on the same day and course as some of Great Britain's top professional world ranked triathletes, who will be competing in the finals of the British Triathlon Super Series. Any club members travelling to what promises to be an exciting event (see British Triathlon web site for event timetable) should quickly arrange their accommodation as although their are plenty of Travelodges in the area, they are being booked up very quickly now. The Tristar 3 League Tables show how competitive it is in this age group. Can Samantha Ragus get it all together in the final sprint to the line and grab that third spot on the podium? With Arran Rae only 262 points behind that third spot, can he beat the Norwich boy again as he did at Woodham Ferrers to be on the podium with Oliver? Don't look round Arran because Elliot Bennett is only 125 points behind you - what a finish it is going to be to the end season. Best Of Luck to All of you to the end of the season and then you can relax BUT not for long because part of your Winter Training starts with a XC event on 24th October. Enjoy your holidays. Mr. Motivator.
